Exciting changes are on the horizon! In alignment with OSPIs commitment to supporting districts with delivering meaningful High School and Beyond Planning (HSBP), we are thrilled to introduce the New! HSBP Update Newsletter, your essential roadmap to a smooth and successful implementation. While we continue to support your preparation for the Fall 2025 launch, this resource will be a space for critical steps, timelines, and tools you’ll need to prepare your team, align your data systems, and make confident decisions about your district’s next move. Let’s get ready to build a stronger, more connected future for every student across the state!

Thank you to those PoCs who have been attending the pre-implementation training sessions! If you and/or your recommended staff haven’t yet attended the trainings currently in process (Student Rostering & Data Migration and Admin) please take a moment to get them scheduled and on calendars. These trainings are critical to support setting up your district’s requirements in SchooLinks and assigning staff roles for access to data reporting and other platform functions.

Click the button below to access all of the registration links for the SchooLinks training sessions. Upcoming trainings that will prepare relevant staff for fall launch include Change Management and Getting Started. The College Application Manager and Event Scheduler trainings next fall are highly encouraged, but your district can choose to forgo those platform features in your launch year if capacity is a concern. Additionally, the Getting Started training will soon have available 1.5 free clock hours.

Your engagement in ensuring appropriate staff get trained is crucial, and we’re excited to support your success as we move forward together!

We hope you had a chance to attend the SchooLinks Kickoff training. If not, no worries, you can still catch up by watching the recording and sharing it with your staff as needed.

We understand staff may have questions about the state budget and its impacts. OSPI is reviewing the details and impact of the budget, including analyzing reductions, eliminations and consolidations. As more information becomes available, we will share updates with you promptly. OSPI remains committed to supporting districts with providing quality high school and beyond planning for all students across Washington.

Please note: If you registered for the May 2 or 9 Change Management session, we apologize for the sudden cancellation. You can register for sessions May 16 or later. Stay tuned for further updates!

In addition, please note on the SchooLinks Registration sheet the opportunity for relevant staff to register for and attend Office Hours with SchooLinks for extra, more personalized learning opportunities!

The progress is underway! Over the past several months, districts have actively participated in a variety of training sessions to support the transition to SchooLinks. These included kickoff meetings, administrator training sessions, and preparation for student roster uploads and data migration. Momentum is building as we lay the groundwork for a successful launch! For those needing additional support, OSPI Implementation Office Hours will be available for drop in participation to get help with next steps. You can view upcoming offerings and access the Zoom session link below.

This month we are spotlighting Evergreen School District!

This year, Evergreen Public School adopted SchooLinks to support and streamline their High School and Beyond Planning efforts. Their enthusiasm highlights a growing recognition of the value in aligning tools and strategies—not only within the district, but also regionally and statewide. This brief video from their Superintendent, Dr. Christine Moloney offers insight into how districts can communicate the value of this opportunity to their staff, students, and families.

"I have some certifications with sheet metal working and welding, and I put that information into [SchooLinks] and it showed classes I could skip and not have to take the prerequisites because I have the qualified certification to skip it." - A Bethell SD student’s quote about using SchooLinks to support their course planning.
